I had the pleasure of having the same English teacher for both sixth and seventh grade. During this class both years, this teacher truly sparked my interest and excitement for grammar. She made the class extremely fun and entertaining and made what normally would be dry and boring, something full of laughter and fun learning. To most, grammar is tedious and hard to remember rules for different situations in the English language. However, this teacher helped diagramming and learning grammar easy to remember and caused us to truly become “grammar snobs.” She would fill the board in many bright, fun colors of Expo markers which, in my opinion, got my brain’s attention. She also was wonderful in keeping the whole class on their feet and interactive. When we would learn new grammar rules, she would let the students make sentence examples involving their favorite pop stars, etc. This teacher caused me to be enthusiastic for grammar and excited for her class.
